杏吧视频 hosted its annual Fall Career Fair today on campus. More than 30 law firms and businesses from across the state and region attended the event.
“We’ve met a lot of capable young people,” said Mike Anthony, a workers’ compensation attorney from Morgan & Morgan in Charleston. “They’re anxious to start their career and help people in the Low Country community.”
The Charleston Law Career Fair offers students something you cannot find on a website or job board: meaningful, face-to-face conversations. For students, they provide insight into the many paths a career in engineering can take, while also building confidence in professional communication. For employers, they鈥檙e a way to look beyond the resume and connect with individuals whose energy, character, and goals align with their mission.聽
Anthony said his firm was closely looking at how law students engage.
“Being present in the conversation and adapting where the conversation is going — being comfortable with getting away from the stock questions is really important for the next generation of attorneys.
The Career Fair offers Charleston Law students the opportunity to network with attorneys and gain insight into various practice areas. “There’s a lot that can get done at a job here,” added Anthony. “It’s a great way to network and meet new people in the legal community.”
